This is a large chandelier by the Lincoln Co. from the 1900's. The ornate fixture is cast bronze with a polychrome patina in pewter and gold that is in good condition. Decorative flourishes in the metal work have a beautiful grape vine and thistle motif covering it from top to bottom. In heraldic tradition, grapes signify peace and felicity, while the thistle is an Old Scottish symbol of nobility. See the matching sconces
